Connemara Tea Factory

On my journey from Thekkady (India), and back to Trivandrum, we drove through beautiful tea plantations. We stopped at Connemara Tea Factory to learn about the tea production. Unfortunately I where not allowed to photograph inside the factory, but I got some shots of the ladies cutting tealeaves.

The tea fields are so beautiful!

You can read about the tea processing in wikipedia here.

The ladies where so happy, and gave us some shy smiles. We talked to them, or our guide translated for us, and they learned us how they cut the leaves.

I am doing my best to cut some leaves, but I feel they manage the job better than me. Guess I would have use a whole day just to fill one bag.... And by effort gave the ladies some good laughs :)

After have tasted the tea, and walked around, we where heading back to Trivandrum.
